How Makcu differs from a KMBOX

A hardware KMBOX replacement built on two ESP32-S3 chips: full mouse pass-through, 1000 Hz polling and a CH343 UART link up to 4 Mbit/s — latency down at the noise floor. To the gaming PC these are ordinary USB devices; the signal arrives down a cable, not from software inside the system. The box holds the board and three USB cables.

Makcu, Makxd or Ferrum One

  • Makcu — the cheapest way in and a proven design. The board is flashed once: the steps are in the flashing guide.
  • Makxd — the updated version, with finer configuration and a Link mode joining two devices.
  • Ferrum One — dearer, but plug-and-play, polling up to 8K, and your mouse own software still working.

What you need alongside it
